It’s hard to deny how much influence the computer has had on guitar playing in the past 10 years or so. When I started training, about the only resources were tab and music books, records and tapes and maybe an electronic tuner or two, that costs hundreds of dollars.

Guitar Software Reviews – Wading Through The Sea of Programs:

Now there is such a variety of programs on the market, it is kind of tough to wade through all of the features of each and find out which one is best for you.

I’m a bit of a techno-geek and have been writing and programing computers since the first IBM PC came out. Since that time I’ve gravitated to the Mac and have been continuing writing programs and designing web sites and so much else. So when some really landmark programs come out, I really sit up ant take note.

Guitar Software Reviews – New Program Reviews:

We will be reviewing newly emerging programs as well as some of the best old timers. We also will review new versions that come out and some of the new version are major rewrites of the original program and have so many new features, it’s almost like a completely new program in look and feel. One that comes to mind was the unveiling of Version 6 of Guitar Pro from Version 5. They made so many improvements that you can’t hardly tell there was a resemblance.

Guitar Software Reviews – iPhone Applications:

We also will be writing reviews for iPhone Apps, as this has certainly become a standard with many people in the entertainment and arts business, (myself included). With some of these great Apps, you can take the program with you tanks to the portability and quality of the Apple iPhone.

Guitar Software Reviews – Free Programs:

We will not only be making reviews of paid programs, but we will review their ‘lite’ cousins, the free program that is either freeware or a lighter version of the program that the author lets you use for free in the hopes that you will like it enough to purchase the full version.
